As part of my internship with David Constantine I set out to collect photographic artefacts of the large contrasts of the both vibrant and abandoned Smith St. in Melbourne. I later compiled the findings in a photo book.

Tasked with creating a wayfinding system for a public path I chose to focus on Birdwood Ave. which runs along the Botanical Gardens in Melbourne. Focusing on the geometric nature of the art-deco inspired original signage I created a light yet contemporary wayfinding system.

As part of a large cohort project, I was tasked with creating a magazine that showcased cultural aspects of Australia. The magazine featured photo projects, artists and musicians and emphasised typography and editorial layout. As with most of my works, the magazine was also hand-sewn.

One is an artistic, social and largely optimistic movement and the other is a radical and authoritarian political movement. Both were instrumental in shaping the 20th century. Building on the premise of the interesting relationship between the to movements I created branding for an fictitious exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria.

For all intents and purposes, animal cruelty awareness campaigns get straight to the point. But in doing so they leave no room for interpretation, for thought and for the observer to truly understand the problem. My approach was a series of posters with lists of different categories of items for which the observer could for themselves evaluate the cost and value of killing, seriously and permanently injure animals.
